To those who even care, a lot has happened since my last entry. With the economy still going downhill and our wonderful corporate counterparts screwing the rest of the country over, I'm out of a job. My car had gotten rear ended by a school bus, and their insurance company is dragging everything out as long as they can.
I've been drawing a bit here and there, but after doing a lot of thinking a few nights ago, I'm going back to the roots once again. This time, I'm not going to relearn what I currently know; I'm going to revamp everything I do. I read "The Animator's Survival Kit" a few weeks back and posted up my first straight-ahead animation on a different site, but one line in the book has been stuck in my head ever since. "I can never stress the importance of drawing realism." All roots of art go back to this, and I feel that this is the source of my lack of progress.
In short, I'm going to be dropping the anthro art for a while to retouch on the roots I have avoided in the past. Once I have achieved what I want, I might return to what I do now.
I guess that's all I really have to say. I'll the sketches up here that I think are good enough/clean enough for this site.
